Superman doomsday ending scene

We had Betamax too, and it was better than VHS. Although that might be because we replaced our nice Sony Betamax VCR with a poxy ex-rental Ferguson VideoStar which broke down every few weeks although I hear some of those machines are still going strong after 25 years. So just for the record, whats your preferred HD format? So just for the record, whats your preferred HD format? I thought beta was better, smaller tapes too. As for HD-DVD or Blu-ray, dont know. Cant really afford a new player or to upgrade my TV 28 panasonic CRT do Ill be sticking to my DVD player for the time being. If I buy a PS3 then itll have to be blue-ray I guess but its too early to say. No doubt therell be something even more honky on the horizon to upgrade to after blu-ray HD-DVD and then itll be back to the same arguments. What we need is one standard and then there is no problem. I might go back to video and vinyl just for a laugh or a flick keep your feet off the upholstery, Ronnie! I thought beta was better, smaller tapes too. As for HD-DVD or Blu-ray, dont know. HD is already out and has been reviewed by several and its hardly setting the world alight with glowing reviews so far. Im guessing that Blu ray will bring something special to the arena. Just out of interest, being that both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD essentially have the same ability to display HD pictures and the only major difference between them is the capacity of the discs, if reviews of HD have failed to set the world alight, why are the Blu-Ray reviews going to be any different? If HD-DVD stays region 0 then Id be tempted to support them. On the other side of things, I like the scratchproof coating on the Blu-ray discs and they do have a larger storage capacity with the potential for much more when they come out with three layer and four layer discs. Im likely to buy a PS3 no matter what happens but Ive heard Microsoft is going to release an HD-DVD add-on drive for the XBox Its too much! Hopefully the format war will be over by the time I get around to upgrading:D. If HD-DVD stays region 0 then Id be tempted to support them. It had a healthy lifespan and for a 5 years was a popular format with many companies backing it.
